Our Story

Blue Sky Impact Investments was established by co-founders Bright Ndhlovu and Herman Ackermann, who share a common vision for sustainable development. 
 
Bright Ndhlovu, originally from Upington, is a qualified Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in managing construction projects. Herman Ackermann, raised in Cape Town, holds a degree in Marketing and has had a diverse career, including significant time spent sailing internationally. 
 
Their professional paths intersected when they worked together on a project in the Northern Cape, focusing on creating value and sustainable livelihoods in the small community of Onseepkans. This collaborative experience led them to recognize the opportunities for meaningful impact in underserved communities. 
 
With this understanding, they established Blue Sky Impact Investments, where they aim to combine partnerships, effective work, and a shared commitment to unlock potential in remote areas. Their approach is centered on making a tangible difference through focused efforts, one step at a time.
